‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ Trailer Review

Comics, Marvel, News, Spider-Man: Homecoming

Today Sony pictures and Marvel Entertainment revealed the latest look at “Spider-Man Homecoming.”

The trailer opens pretty strong showing us Spider-Man zipping through New York and continuing his relationship with  Tony Stark who wants Peter to remain a grounding hero. We also get some fun interaction between Miles and Ganke-I mean Peter and Ned. Ned seems like he’s going to be a lot of fun and it’s nice to see Peter Parker have a friend this time around. We’re treated to a pretty cool Captain America cameo and Spider-Man quipping ass.

The trailer also gives us some depth to Vultures cause. He’s the one percent vs the 99%. Stark seems to be taking his and his crews job with a  new Damage Control initiative. (Bye bye TV show) It’s going to be pretty cool to see a working class villain. Vulture just wants to protect his crew (family) unfortunately he’s putting people in harms way by doing so.

While trailer did show some interesting insights about Peter’s life it also revealed way to much about the film’s plot. Iron Man assisting Peter with the boat will no longer be a surprise,  Peter getting his suit taken away will no longer be surprise.  These are major plot points and character developments that you’d want saved for the film, not spoiled in a trailer.

The trailer reveals so much about the film that I would honestly say if you haven’t seen it, don’t watch it. If you’re still excited for “Homecoming” go into the theater as blank slate.

Over all this trailer was okay.  It doesn’t pack the same punch of past “Spider-Man” trailers and reveals way to much of the plot but I’m still looking forward to the film. Just wish I didn’t watch this trailer.
