After being a first day attraction and going through a 2 year old refurbishment, due to constantly breaking down, Jaws became one of Universal Studios Florida’s most beloved attractions.
Universal released an In Memorium of the Jaws ride, which closed, along with the Amityville section, five years ago to make way for Diagon Alley and London.
Jaws represented Universal Studios in that the ride allowed guest to ride the movie. No matter how many times you went on the ride, the ride was always a blast and filled you with a similar energy to when you went on the ride for the first time. The refurbishment was well worth it, as the effects help up well from the reopening till the ride’s closing. Check out the video, via Attractions Magazine, of the final ride on Jan. 2, 2012.
