Marvel’s ‘Inhumans’ Updates, a movie is a still a go.

Last week the groundbreaking deal between IMAX and ABC concerning  The Inhumans came to light. It was revealed that the first two episodes of the series will debut in IMAX theaters worldwide in September 2017 with the television debut following shortly after.

Today THR  revealed more information regarding the show. The Inhumans will be eight episodes. The IMAX engagement of the first two episodes will run for two weeks beginning on Labor Day before airing on ABC during its fall line-up.

The first two episodes of Inhumans will be shot entirely in IMAX mirroring what Marvel Studios is doing with Infinity War and Avengers 4 .  Most of the actions scenes including some that will be set on the moon(MOON CONFIRMED) will also be shot with IMAX cameras as well. IMAX will also fund the first two episodes.

The Inhumans is also not a spin-off to the currently ongoing  Ghost Ride-I mean Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D series which is set to return next fall.

However, the most interesting piece of this article in my eyes is that THR is reporting that The Inhumans movie is still a go over at Marvel Studios. This current move by ABC and IMAX does not interrupt the flow of the film over at Marvel Studios.

That raises a lot of questions. Will this film directly tie into the eventual Inhumans film? Hopefully, it does cause I find it strange that we would be introduced to the royal family twice. I do also find it strange that this show has nothing at all to do with Agents of S.H.E.I.L.D due to the fact that they brought Inhumans into the public eye.

All of these questions I doubt will be answered anytime soon but all of this news still sounds pretty damned exciting. This deal is a game changer and unlike any that has come before. I do hope that we see more mergers between networks and IMAX-like this.

The Inhumans premeres later next year.

Also if you don’t know The Inhumans live on the moon.
