The actor has signed on to produce, and possibly star, in a loosely based adaptation of John LeFevre’s book, “Straight to Hell.”
THR learned, exclusively, the news of what will be one of Zac Efron’s upcoming project, with John Phillips (“Dirty Grandpa”) writing the script.
“Straight to Hell” recounts LeFevre’s experiences as a world investment banker, who did whatever he needed to do to come out on top. LeFevre also ran the twitter account, @GSElevator, where he continuously posted, based on conversations in The Goldman Sachs’ elevator about what really goes on when it comes to finance banking. The account resulted in Goldman Sachs launching an investigation to find out who was posting on the profile.
I’m so in this. Zac Efron has proven himself to be a great comedic and dramatic actor. He just needs that movie to really show what he’s capable of, and this movie, if it’s good, sounds like this could be that movie. John Phillips writing the script is worrying, but I have a feeling he’ll be able to pull this movie off, hopefully.
