On Sunday, Cinema Blend reported that Mr. Sinister is going to be a villain in Wolverine 3, which was apparently”confirmed”, by Bryan Singer, in the “X-Men: Apocalypse” commentary track available on the upcoming Blu-ray release. Now Wolverine 3 director, James Mangold, is saying Mr. Sinister isn’t in Wolverine 3. Find out more after the jump.
In addition to him saying Mr. Sinister isn’t the villain, James Mangold doesn’t even seem to know who Mr. Sinister is.
Not only that, but he also points how dumb it was for media outlets to use the commentary (especially since it’s not even available) as the source. What a badass!
Finding out Mr. Sinister is the villain, from a commentary track we haven’t heard, always sounded sketchy, so this isn’t that surprising. The real question is what the hell is going? There’s no reason for Mangold to intentionally throw people off, since Bryan Singer apparently already brought Mr. Sinister up in the commentary. Now, we just have to wait and see if either Cinema Blend or Bryan Singer are lying. Cinema Blend probably isn’t lying, however, since the commentary is going to get out in October. That would expose them, if Bryan Singer didn’t actually say Mr. Sinister is a villain.
Are you guys disappointed by Mr. Sinister not being a villain? Let us know in the comments below!
