The actress has no interest in being a part of the TV movie that’ll wrap up the storyline of the Divergent films.
Woodley was asked about the status of the film, and whether she’d be involved or not, in a recent interview with Screen Rant.
Last I heard they were trying to make it into a television show. I didn’t sign up to be in a television show. Out of respect to the studio and everyone in involved, they may have changed their mind and may be doing something different, but I’m not necessarily interested in doing a television show.
What she says here is admirable. She’s respectable to the other people involve while not afraid to say her mind and the truth.
Lionsgate obviously only changed their mind about how they want to approach the rest of this franchise, because Allegiant flopped. The studio deserved this too by only making the last book a two-parter, because that was the popular thing to do at the time. Even the movies that didn’t need to be slit up (Breaking Dawn and Mockingjay) are still more deserving of a split up than Allegiant.
