Box Office: ‘Don’t Breathe’ Dethrones ‘Suicide Squad’

Finally, after three weeks “Suicide Squad” has been bumped off of the number one spot by “Don’t Breathe”.

“Don’t Breathe” shocked with $26.4 million opening weekend. The film was originally only projected for about $12-15 million opening weekend. It grossed about $2 million internationally.

“Suicide Squad” was bumped down to second place, making $12 million domestically.

“Kubo And The Two Strings” came in third with $7.8 million domestically. Bringing it to a total of $27.5 million worldwide.

“Sausage Party” came in fourth with $7.5 million, bringing it to a total of $79.9 million worldwide.

Mechanic: Resurrection flopped with $7.5 million domestically and $6.1 million internationally.
